RitaRudnerVegas

Growing up in the 1980’s I’ve always been a fan of Rita Rudner. I used to love watching her HBO specials, which were always a soft spoken sophisticated treat. Rita always manages to be clever and smart while conveying a cool sophistication.

She originally started out as a dancer on Broadway and later moved on to comedy, which may help explain her unique style. I was surprised to learn that Rita is now 50, and even more surprised to find out that we can see her performing at Harrah’s in Las Vegas for the rest of 2008.

If you like pink you’ll also like Rita Rudner’s web site. Frankly it’s one of the nicest flash web sites I’ve seen lately. I’m usually not a fan of flash or pink but her site is very nicely done. You can also find her latest tour schedule and pick up her book or CD.

If your in the mood for some sophisticated, smart comedy. Then take another look at Rita Rudner. She just may be one of the original comedy bad girls.

On one of my other blogs I gave away an iPod Nano when the new video one just came out. The song that Apple chose to use to promote the new product was 1234 by Feist. It’s a great song and I love the video.

As if that video wasn’t great enough. Feist was recently on Sesame Street. Resulting in another great video.

Big Brown Triple Crown

Horse racing may not be directly related to comedy but today’s race may make history. And history can be quite funny.

The UPS sponsored horse Big Brown has a very good chance of becoming a triple crown winner today.

Big Brown has already won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness. If he wins today’s Belmont Stakes Big Brown will be the first triple crown winner in 30 years. Go Big Brown!
